Heyyy all!!! I been soooo busy lately its not even funny. What with fasting and starting high school and college at the same time, Ive barely had time to take care of chores, let alone sit on the internet for hours or and draw. Im away from home from at least 9-5:00 every week day, and more often 8-5. Its pretty crazy, but Im enjoying the ride. Yknow at my old school, I got a lot of hard work... that took a long time. Now, I just get a lot of easy work.... that STILL takes a long time. sIgh..

But thats not what Ive come to write about.

Tonight's topic is Romeo and Juliet!!!! yay! I think Im supposed to read it this year in school sometime, but thats STILL not what Im talking about. I just watched the version with Leo Dicaprio, and its incredible(and so was he back then)!!! Everything from the psycho/dystopian air it had about it to the sheer brilliance of the editing made it extremely entertaining. It doesnt hurt that the story is amazing either, though.

Does anyone ever realize Juliet is actually 13 in the play? And Romeo is ermm, 16, I think. And you cant even say that was the normal age for people to marry at in Elizabethan times. On average, I think guys were in their mid twenties, and girls were in their mid-teens. SO not only are they babies current standards, but by their own, as well. Its pretty crazy.. But it fits: your teenage years are the most likely time to (a)meet someone and fall in "love" with them, (b) marry them (c) commit suicide-- in THREE DAYS!!! Yeah. Really. Three Days. Just two days after they meet theyre dead.

I also think its intriguing that while Romeo and Juliet is known as a classic love-story, i find their claims of undying love of dubious credibility. Theyre really young and full of hormones. Not only that, but in the beginning of the story Romeo is claiming undieing love for Rosalind. Unlike others, I wouldnt go so far as to call him particularly shallow or anything, though. He's just a teenager subject to mood swings and crap. Trust me, I know.

But getting back to the movie itself, its really, reallly good, and I recommend watching it. I admit I was crying at the end(its soooo sad~~~~~~>_<~~~~~~~ even more than the story usually is because of the slightly different way they did it). I goes to my list of favorite movies.

Last time you guys suggested stuff was so helpful; even if i didnt post, all of it worked for inspiration and ideas. OH! If reads this, I owe him an apology for not ever finishing the picture of him. BElieve it or not, man, I still thinking of you and feeling guilty. I really still hope to do it.
